Marina Piccola | Sorrento
Tn the town Sorrento itself it is hard to find a beautiful beach, because the geographical location offers only two real bays below the steep cliffs. In one of the bays you'll find the port, but yet further east you can climb down some stairs to the "Marina Piccola", where you'll not only find landing places but also a sweet beach part with a lido. It is a pebble and sandy beach and doesn't offer much space at all, yet the water is clean and one can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea with many colorful fishing boats rocking gently on the waves. you can eiter rent some sunbeds on the beach itself or take your sunbath on one of the sunbeds on the footbridge. You reach "Marina Piccola" by walking down the stairs next to the "Villa Communale" up in the center of Sorrento. The beach is also known as "San Francesco" and it is easily and quickly accessible from the center.
