If you leave central Sorrento with a bus or car towards the western tip of the peninsula, you reach the village Capo di Sorrento, which belongs to Sorrento. Parking can be be difficult here, therefore it is recommended to take the bus, that passes the center of Sorrento at regular intervals, to the beach.

Passing the remains of a magnificient Roman villa, one reaches rocky bathing grounds, surrounded by orange trees and olive groves. This is no typical beach, but still you can spend wonderful hours at the seaside on the flat rocks below the ancient excavations. Moreover you will have more space to take your sunbath than the sandy bays in the region offer.
